Time to Trade the Outdoors for the Indoors!

We are thrown off from the time change, and finally is it getting cooler! We added some universal tips at the end, but the Clark list may hit a little closer to home!

The Real List

  • Repair the smoke detector you smashed because of the horrible beeping noise (It is ok we all do it because its impossible to figured out how to make it stop sometimes!)

Funny Cartoon on testing smoke detectors saying testing your sanity

  • Take caution with those storm or patio doors- the wind is starting and that means flying doors that can smash, break and fall off

  • Icy walkways are more dangerous if they are uneven or have missing pieces

  • Watch out for mold, yes mold! If your like our family we have allergies galore! Ways you can combat it:

    • Humidity Control- consider an indoor dehumidifier

    • Ventilation- Run fans in the bathroom, ceiling fans, etc.

    • Clean Regularly and fix those plumbing leaks

  • SAFTETY! According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), about 1 million people are injured from slip and fall on ice and snow each year. Salt, proper boots and ask for help!

The top universal items to keep in mind:

  • Clean gutters: Prevent clogs, leaking into your interior space and preventing a spring clean up headache

  • Check your Pipes: Make sure those interior pipes are insulated properly so we won't have the issue of freezing and preventing that nice warm shower on a cold day!

  • Change Heater Filters: Just think of all the air your breathing while that heater is cranking, this is a must do for the indoor seasons. I mean who wants indoor allergies to start?

Prepare, be proactive and stay safe friends!!
