Sawdust and Smiles: My Carpentry Adventure

One question that frequently arises is how I stumbled into carpentry. It traces back to a vivid childhood memory of tagging along with my older brother and sister to their after-school shop class. As they diligently worked on projects, I found myself captivated by the process of building. It was a defining moment when I realized that I, too, wanted to wield those tools and craft something from scratch.

Even in my early years, two things were abundantly clear about me: I had a knack for working with my hands, and I thrived as a visual learner. My closest companions were Legos, puzzles, and any opportunity to construct something tangible. Despite struggling with conventional schooling due to ADHD, I found solace and purpose in hands-on activities. While math came naturally to me, my true sense of fulfillment came from tactile engagement.

The turning point came when my mother mentioned a neighbor who ran a contracting business. She suggested I seek apprenticeship under their wing. At sixteen, I embarked on my journey, learning the ropes of carpentry from a seasoned mentor. It was a revelation—I knew then and there that carpentry was my calling. Through dedication and perseverance, I immersed myself in mastering the craft, eventually expanding my skills to include electrical work.

College beckoned, offering an opportunity to delve deeper into the technicalities of electrical systems. While I excelled in wiring and illuminating spaces, I found myself yearning for more. The satisfaction of a well-executed job and the gratitude from clients fueled my passion even further. Helping people has always been my driving force, and carpentry provided the perfect avenue to marry my skills with this innate desire to assist others.

For me, a fulfilling day is not just about completing a task; it's about forging connections, leaving smiles in my wake, and knowing that I've made a tangible difference in someone's life. This blend of human interaction, service, and craftsmanship is what ignites my soul and keeps me fervently dedicated to my craft.

Alright, let's set the record straight. My wife deserves credit for this because, let's face it, I'm about as graceful with words as a duck on roller skates. She managed to spin my journey into carpentry into a well written tale So, if you're wondering why this story does not sound like my simple self, that is why!
